The Bell 407 and 427 can now be parked in the same space as a LongRanger. In less than four minutes, one person can install the Paravion Blade Folding Kit and fold the main rotor blades to reduce the storage space requirement to that of a two bladed helicopter. The kit consists of two lightweight blade support assemblies, one attached at the front and the other at the rear of the helicopter. With two blades supported, two expandable blade bolts are removed and the rotor system rotated to align the four blades in a fore and aft configuration. The blade support assemblies fold for storage in a convenient carrying case that fits comfortably in the baggage compartment of the helicopter.

The installation hardware kit is FAA/STC approved. The aircraft must be equipped with Bell Helicopter’s Expandable Blade Bolts (P/N 406-310-103-101 or 103) which may be purchased separately from Paravion.
